AEON uses the same data management system as the Ontario Ministry of the Environment

AEON recognizes that water quality requires source protection in order to be managed in a sustainable manner

AEON Management uses powerful GIS based data management as the core for their watershed studies and sustainable water resource projects. The data management system (Viewlog® - SiteFX®) is the same system used by the Ministry of the Environment for their province wide watershed oversight.

Data collected from the field and other data sources such as geologic and topographical mapping, population information, groundwater well data, and regional contaminant source inventories is used to produce integrated mapping and, using an integrated MODFLOW® module, groundwater models of the relevant watershed system components.

These services allow AEON Management to provide real time watershed resource management and control that meet a client's needs on a cost effective basis.

Watershed studies

Watershed studies are an integral component of the environmental consulting services offered by AEON Management. These studies examine the interrelationships between land and water drained by a river and its tributaries. Because water quality and quantity are affected by human activities, focusing on source protection within a watershed allows these water resources to be managed in a sustainable manner.

Our GIS approach to data management combined with hydrogeological modelling and investigative capabilities allow us to address regional and localized studies from conception through to source protection initiatives. Projects include large watershed based source protection planning initiatives funded by the MOE to smaller projects requiring hydrogeologic modelling and interpretation in support of planning applications, engineering design and construction or litigation.
